After a long stretch, the Triton Titanium 36" MegaMuni frames are back in stock. They are the lightest, stiffest and most elegant frame on the market today, handmade in Russia, and the abbreviated cousin to Triton's trials bike frames. Triton is the only frame manufacturer with a Ti disc tab mounted on the right stantion, perfect for a hydraulic disc brake caliper and the Mountainuni system. Some of you have reached out recently asking when they'd arrive, and they're here. Don't wait! These fly off the shelf quickly.

Hi all, Posting a couple ride pictures from last Sunday's trip to Harold Parker State forest in Andover, MA. Steve rides Sam Haber's prior KH 24" Muni with a Gazz 3.0 He crushed all day on the ups, gaps, and technical rock sessions, Im riding a KH29 with a 140mm Mountainuni Disc kit. The I 140 is a nice option for a comination of better spinning, and still give more stabilizing power for braking on steep rock faces like this one. This picture gives an unintentional but always appreciated tribute to Jogi for those who know him.
I hope you're enjoying the blog, and your Mountainuni brake kits. :-)
Jeff is Riding the Latest Build going up on the site soon for sale:
The KH36 with TBar and Mountainuni Disc Brake 145mm Cranks

Hey, here's a new way to link to your favorite Mountainuni links. Get a digital barcode scanner app for your Motorola Droid or other mobile device, and when you scan the digital barcode it will open the link to YouTube, and our Home Page!
We'll get better at this over time, and will use this in future video and Flikr posts. It is secure, and cutting edge technology for a small company like us! Thanks for reading!
We're continuing to build and refine the ideal options for a MountainUNi Brake installations. Here is a build of Eric's using a Nimbus 29 Steel Frame. This has a steel welded tab welded to the lower right stantion. This uni is a "pre UCM" build, which sparked the idea to fabricate a bolt on system for affixing the caliper. We are very fond of the KH Tbar set up for it's adjustability and multiple places to attach the brake handle by using same sized tubing. The 2010 KH freeride seat has the new threaded inserts so it allows for a the stiffener plate and bar mount to be really strong, light and predictable while keeping the traditional KH front grab handle intact and completely accessible. The Hydraulic Brake is an easy bolt upgrade that pays dividend on the very first ride! If you ride or live in hilly areas, valleys or ride mountainous terrain, having an effective means for speed control is a must. Try it, you'll like it. Thanks for the Pic Eric!
If a Nimbus Steel 29" build like this is of interest, please reach out to us. :-)
Over Labor day weekend, I spent the weekend in Stowe, VT. for a family visit, and to check out the often suggested Trails @ Trapp Family Lodge. (TFL) The trails do have a $10 fee to ride, so be sure to swing by the Outdoor center to pick up a trail access pass and map, as these trails are only available to staying guests and day pass holders. What you'll find is a terrific blend of single track, switchback, climbing, descents and technical riding stretching over 25 Miles of the property, and clearly marked green, blue and black trails.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by very friendly and accomodating Dana Jourdan, who is manager of MTB and Ski shop operations at TFL. I told Dana I would be riding the trails on the 36" Uni, and somehow they'd heard of me before. :-) Dana spent some extra time (much appreciated) giving me directions to the goods and laid out a great route all on trapp's property, starting with Stepping Stone, and it was the perfect terrain for the MEGA Muni. I spent this first half of the ride with an incidental meeting with an accomplished local author and local Stowe resident. We rode fast flowy intermediate single track and were greeted with some welcomed light rain showers to cool off some mid-afternoon humidity. The burms, whoops, and armored sections were all in terrific shape and I have a serious appreciation for the trail maintenance and care taken on this trail. It was sweet. :-)
I then followed Dana's direction back behind the Outdoor Center to the trailhead for Lodge Spur. This was a long moderately difficult gently switchbacking uphill, than will bring you to Luce Hill Loop. This is a very well designed trail with the perfect mix of flowy single track (aka Sniggle), switchback descents and uphills, and some technical root sections. Never once did feel the need to check the map as the trail is well marked, and you can really get some great speed in sections! I believe Dana mentioned 800 vertical feet of descent is on their property, so the Mountainuni Brake came in very handy on the downhill sections! Then there is Telemark Spur and Tapline off the Loop which I didn't have the time or the energy for, but will be sure to plan ahead and hit those next time.
In the end, it was a great experience and I would high recommend a trip to Trapps whether on a single wheel or two! I mentioned to the shop that I would like to bring back a small group of Unicyclists for some filming and cross promotion, you know who you are. Thanks for Reading!
Best, Jeff
We figured that a Nimbus Nightrider frame with an Impulse tm Disc wheel could be mated with Mountainuni's UCM without having to buy a 160 mm standoff adapter. After checking the initial fit, we found the caliper the UCM. So the UCM was modified slightly and the corrections will carry on to future production. This means that the UCM will work for the MountainUni RH side SINZ Outboard and for a Nimbus Impulse LH side inboard system. UCM will accomodate all size rotos from 160mm rotors to 203mm.
